My first design has only 4 scenes where I will be speaking about recycling and what is going on with recycling. In that scene I will be using the backgrounds of a park or a garden where there is a lot of litter, I will also have a sprite of a normal boy and the sounds will be me speaking and asking questions. I will then use different coding like the codes from looks and sounds and also control.
My second scene will be me talking about what is going on in the community and how people are recycling over there and what they should do to improve the recycling over there. I will use a sprite of the same boy again and the background will be of a community or if I can the springs and meadows community. I will also use the same codes as the first scene and I will be using the same codes for all the scenes and when I am doing it I might learn some new ones. My 3rd scene will have all the solutions that can be used to improve recycling and what can be done in the community to improve it. I will have the backgrounds containing all the different backgrounds and the sprite will be the boy again talking about the solutions and how it would work. My 4th scene will have what is going on in the world and where your waste is going and how you could recycle to help the world and also raise more awareness so more people recycle. I will have the backgrounds of different country's in the world and also things that could raise awareness. I will have the sprite of the boy again with my voice speaking about the world and what is going on and how to raise awareness in the world.

For my second storyboard I will be doing the same thing except it will be more spread out and have less information in each scene. It will still have the same codes, backgrounds and sprites and that's why I chose to do this storyboard but I will be using a lot of information from the other storyboard as well.

I came up with two of these ideas by looking at what exactly I needed for my design and I saw that if I did these different scenes the people would understand more about recycling and would understand more about what is going on in the community and what can people do to help it. The things that I should use are like the pictures to import and also the backgrounds to import and sprites to import so that it would look more realistic and people would be able to understand it better. The techniques and coding that I will use will be the control, motion, speech and looks coding and that will make it look better. I think that almost the whole presentation should be made by my skills and also the time that is available. I think it would require more time than what I already have because I also need to go check out the communities and see what is going on and also raise awareness by making videos and posters. I think the target audience would like my idea because it would look very serious and not only for kids and it is also set out into different scenes so people can see what is going on in the community and in the world. I chose the different backgrounds because people could see the different places in which it is going on and see what they can do to help it and it would also look more realistic. I chose one sprite which is just a normal boy who is talking with my voice and explaining everything that is going on in the different backgrounds and talking about recycling to people.

The design that I chose was my second one because it was more spread out even though it had less information. It would be easier to do 8 different scenes that did not have that much information rather than 4 different scenes that had a lot of information. It would also be easier to set it out in the animation and people would be able to understand it better so that's why I chose my second design.
What I will use for my Scratch Design:

• I will also have different backgrounds like the different communities and also the places where they recycle and also the different recycling bins around the place
• After I have the people and the communities, I will then have the places where waste get's collected and I will also be showing how it is affecting the environment
• I will also show how the people if they recycle what could be the difference and how it could help the environment and then they would also start recycling
• After I am done showing all that I will also show the differences after raising awareness and before raising awareness of recycling and with this video it will raise even more awareness of recycling in the community

1.I identified a design situation and it is to help the community recycle more so that they are helping the world and they also recycle in the proper bins and it would only take them a little bit of time! The needs to solve this problem is to get more recycling bins in the community and also advertise it more so that people know that this is happening. Also they could have a big place where everybody gather's around and recycles everything. They could also have a small fine for people who don't do the recycling so they learn a lesson and then they start doing the recycling in the future. Solving this problem is mainly for a particular community which is the Springs community so that they are contributing to recycling and they are trying to save their own lives and helping the entire world. I am going to have to make the project on Scratch and the problems I am going to face is to make different scenes and how to make it look realistic to the world and also like have it in different steps.

2.The nature of this problem is how people don't actually use the recycling bins properly and they put the wrong things in the wrong bins and as well as doing that some people don't even recycle and it's producing more waste in the world which could lead to a worse future and also more global warming. This is a problem for the world and it would lead to many bad things ahead of us and to help it people would have to just contribute a little bit and start recycling so you can start it from a community in whole. This problem is occurring all around the world today and people can't be bothered to move and recycle their waste which is a really easy thing to do. The cause of the problem is that in some places there are no recycling bins and sometimes people do not even know what recycling is so it just creates more bad things in the world.

3.I am mainly going to target a whole community which is springs! The techniques I will use to do this project is by putting posters all around the community so that people know more about recycling and I will also hold an event every weekend so that people come to it and recycle everything that they need to. I would also ask some people to maybe make a machine where if they recycle they will get a little bit of money for doing so people will be more encouraged. Also if people do it more and even the government know about it they will make a law where if you don't recycle every 2 weeks at least you would get a fine. I will also interview many people in the community and ask them on how much they recycle in about a month and I will also do a survey on different families and how much they recycle in a month so people can see the difference after this project. I will also observe how many people recycle every weekend and see how many people come in the future weeks. I will also take pictures every week to see the bin on how people have improved in recycling over a few weeks.

4.The questions that need to be answered to solve the problem:

Is there any way in which the community can communicate with each other online?

Is there any way the community can hold a recycling event?

When people don't recycle is there any way they can get in trouble or get a fine?

Is there any way we could find out how many people recycle?

The data that needs to be collected is how many people recycle per week and how much of waste is recycled every week

The data will be sourced from a survey website called survey monkey and I will make the survey!

The sources will mainly be Primary sources but I will try using a few secondary sources as well.

The sources that are essential are the surveys and writing letters to the people of the community and observing users interacting within the situation.

The secondary sources I will use is viewing videos on how to help recycling in the community.

Strengths The strengths of my project will be that I am very good at communicating my ideas to public and I will be able to reach it out to the whole community by creating a survey asking the questions and also posting my scratch project showing how recycling will help the world and I will be posting the entire thing on a Facebook community page and if there are any websites for the community I could post it there as well to raise awareness.	Weaknesses The weaknesses of my project will be that I am not very good at using scratch and It would be hard to find out how to make a scratch project the way I want it. It would also be hard for me to find the themes that I would want for my scratch project and I would also need to find out   how to make it all happen at one time without anyone having to do anything. I would also have to make it attractive so people are bothered to watch and it would be a good way to raise the awareness.
Opportunities The opportunities that I would have with this project would be that it would not only be able to influence my community but it would also be able to influence other communities so that they could start recycling as well. I could then also go to schools in Dubai and they would start recycling more and once it becomes really famous it could go to Dubai municipality and then also be used around the entire world! With the data that I collected by giving people that live in Springs or Meadows i found out that not many people recycle that much and some people do not even recycle. Some people don't know how not recycling could affect our environment and what risks it could have in the future. Only 1 person who lives in springs or meadows recycled 6 bags every week. All the other people recycled less than 4 bags which is not good for the community and the environment. Now I know that recycling is not very popular in the community and now I need to raise awareness so that they are able to recycle more and know the good or bad effects.	Threats Some of the threats that I could face During this project would be that people would misuse the video and use it for doing other things and also the surveys they would not answer them properly and do bad things with it. Another threat would be that nobody would want to look at my project and no one would want to do recycling and would just be forgotten in the community.

The design that I chose was my second one because it was more spread out even though it had less information. Reflection on background changing in scratch

In today's lesson we had two different tasks were first we had to look at different codings from scratch and we had to match it with the sentences saying what it was. Then we moved onto doing things on scratch where we learnt a skill of changing the backgrounds in scratch. We were also given help if we didn't know what to do and how to change the backgrounds. We chose 3 different backgrounds that we were going to use for our animation and I chose the desert, the canyon and the flower bed. We were then supposed to find out how would you be able to change from all of the different backgrounds and the codings that I used were from control, looks and sounds. The codings that i used from control were: When flag is clicked... and I also used wait 3 seconds. From looks I used the background changing code where you could chose which background you wanted. From sound I chose the one where it plays a sound and instead of using those sounds I recorded a sound of myself saying something. I then put all of these codings together to make it work properly and so that I didn't have to click anything and it just happened by itself. The sprite that I used was the normal scratch sprite and it worked well with the whole animation. We were also supposed to add a sound of ourselves speaking about what the different backgrounds were and make it so that it was perfectly timed with the backgrounds changing from one to another. I recorded the sounds of me saying things like' There is a desert in Dubai' and then put it together with the backgrounds changing and the whole animation worked very well. The skills that I learnt today were that I was able to know how to perfectly time two different elements at the same time without even touching the keyboard. I also learnt how to import different backgrounds of my choice into the animation and also input a recording of my own voice that would be talking about the backgrounds and so that the whole animation would work well together.
